Bought this on an impulse and was happy to have it. Was new to DSM5 and somewhat overwhelmed byit. This book follows through on its title and really helps! Well worth the price.

Morrison's books are always excellent. This is a great book for the beginner therapist. What he describes in the introduction as how experienced therapists *actually* do assessments very true, and the book will help the beginner get to that method more quickly.

Great book for clearing up any questions about the DSM-5 (though I don't think that book is particularly convoluted in the first place, so I don't know that this book is totally necessary). Well written and reasonably engaging.

The title gives you exactly what it says, the DSM-5 in an easy format!! It simplifies the DX criteria for each disorder, tells you what disorders in certain categories have in common, and even gives examples of cases in order to help you get a better grasp on the disorder. It’s a great product to have as a supplement to the DSM-5!!

I shared this book with LCSW supervisees and they really appreciated the clinical case studies.

I'm a new MSW student. The DSM-5 is widely utilized in clinical therapy, which I intend to practice in the future. I bought this book along with the social worker's dictionary to augment my studies and research while preparing for exams and studies at college. I am comfortable with my decision because these books are highly recommended for use in the field.

This book is excellent. It is really easy to follow, as a psychology student I can sometimes find certain resources a bit confusing. There is a case study for every diagnosis that connects it to the real world, which for me is the easiest way to learn. For fellow students, I would highly recommend this informative yet easily understandable book!

This is a difficult subject with all the possible ways to code diagnoses, however this book does an excellent job explaining each. Great reference, however still a very complex subject

For me, the DSM has always been intimidating and dry. I bought this book on a whim because I want to be better about recognizing disorders and properly diagnosing them. This book makes it very easy to understand and interesting. I will use this book to have a comfortable understanding of diagnoses and will only use the DSM for reference.

If like me you have to read the entire DSM-5 manual, do yourself a favor and buy this as the main read and use the DSM-5 as a complimentary reference, you won't regret it. The writing is engaging (unlike the dry DSM-5), succinct, with real life examples which give a sense to the material ... This was a "recommended" reading in my pcychopathology class ... I'm so glad I followed the "recommendation" ... I like his reading style so much, and I find it so helpful that I am buying one of his other books "Diagnosis made easier" ....This should definitely help me this semester.
